The Crabb Newsletter

For many years first Jeanne Kopp Mower then Richard D. Prall have edited and distributed newsletters on the Crabb/Crabbe family. Since 1991 quarterly editions of Richard's "The Crabb Newsletter" have been sent to up to 200 recipients. Many are private subscribers and other copies go to libraries or genealogical societies. Richard has now given me permission to reproduce these newsletters on the Crabbe Family Pages website, however to avoid affecting his current subscriber base I will only be uploading issues from previous years. The 2004 issues will not start to appear until 2005.

As yet I have not obtained any of Jean Kopp Mower's newsletters but I would be very pleased if someone can let me have a copy for transcribing.

I do not have a complete set of Richard's newsletters - especially from the earlier years - so I would appreciate copies of pre-2000 issues that do not have a detailed index included below. I also need to search my files for the carefully preserved later issues which, as yet, I cannot put my finger on - I know I put them somewhere safe!

Having tried OCR scanning & found it time consuming due to the small anomalies that kept creeping in I have decided to publish these newsletters in the form of scanned images in PDF files. A copy of Acrobat Reader is therefore needed before these newsletters can be accessed. Such a copy is available free from many websites. The alpha-numeric entries at the start of the content lines refer to the page numbers in the relevant newsletters which can be accessed via the underlined link in the title line.

Subscriptions at $12 per calendar year may be arranged with the current editor Richard D Prall, 14104 Piedras Road NE.,Albuquerque, NM 87123 2323 USA though he is seeking a volunteer to take over in the near future.

Throughout the copying of these newsletters postal addresses and telephone numbers have been suppressed for reasons of privacy - should you need to get in touch with any of these contributors please email the webmaster at for further information. As the whole newsletter is in image form email addresses cannot be harvested automatically by spammers using search software of any kind.

If anyone can help me by providing copies of the eleven newsletters "vol 1 no 1" to "vol 3 no 3" inclusive I would be more than happy to repay any postal charges incurred.
