Debra Litchfield provided me with a extract of Seymour's obit. published by the Michign Christian Advocate, 1984 whch is the United Methodist Paper for Michigan. It stated in part: He died of a heart attack on October 28, 1984, he was a member of the lansing Calvary for 53 years serving as a Sunday School teacher and on many boards and committees as well as a church custodian. He was Scout Master of Troop 137 sponsired by the Church for 25 years and had 28 boys earn Eagle Scout Awards and many the 'God and Country'. He was a member of the Order of the Arrow (Vigil Honor) and was recipient fo the Silver Beaver of which 13 members served as Honor Guards for his service. He served in the Army Medical Corp during WW II and worked for Motor Wheel for 35 years. He was survived by his wife of 42 years and sons Thomas, Garold, Gerald, and Phillip; and sisters Bertha Pung, Ethel Litchfield, and Olga Kaiser; nine grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
